An older car can still look sharp
Most student cars we see in Davis are not new, and nobody is pretending otherwise. They have a few door dings, a dull patch on the roof, and three semesters of coffee in the cup holders. That does not mean they have to look rough. A proper hand wash, a clay bar, a wax and a real interior clean will make a ten-year-old car look cared for, and that is usually the whole point.
We are also straight with you about what is worth paying for. If your paint is past saving, we will say so rather than sell you a correction that costs more than the car is worth. On an older car the money is almost always better spent on the interior — that is what you sit in every day.
Selling the car at the end of the year
Every spring the same thing happens in Davis: people graduate, move away, and sell the car they have been driving for four years. A detail before the listing photos is the cheapest money you will spend on that sale. A clean car photographs better, shows better in the car park, and stops the buyer from using “it needs a clean” as a reason to knock a few hundred off.
Same goes for a lease return, where a cleaning charge at the handover costs more than the detail would have.
Apartment parking is not a problem
Plenty of Davis jobs happen at apartment complexes rather than driveways, and that is fine. What it costs in Davis
These are the starting prices for a full interior and exterior detail. Add-ons — steam and deep cleaning, carpet and seat shampoo, wax, paint correction, ceramic coating, headlight restoration, engine bay, odor and pet hair removal — are priced on top, and we tell you the number before we start, not after.
Same prices as everywhere else we work. There is no travel charge for Davis.
Two cars on one street, $30 off each
Once the van is parked on your street, the second car costs us almost nothing in driving or setup — so we pass that back. Book two or more vehicles at the same address, or anywhere on the same block, on the same day, and each one comes down by $30.
Any combination works: both of the family cars, you and the neighbor over the fence, three houses that agreed on a Saturday. Send us one address and the list of cars, and we do them back to back.
